The Lak of Turkmenistan

The Lak of Turkmenistan, numbering approximately 4,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a diaspora community of the Northeast Caucasian Lak people, whose ancestral homeland is mountainous central Dagestan in Russia, particularly the historic region of Lakia centered on Kumukh. They mostly adhere to Sunni Islam and Lak is their primary language.
