The Karata of Russian Federation, numbering approximately 6,400 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an ethnolinguistic community of Russia and can also be known as Karatin. They are an Indigenous people, in the Caucasus people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Karata.
