The Kazakh of Kazakhstan, numbering approximately 12,500,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Turkic people of Central Asia whose historic homeland is the vast steppe region of present-day Kazakhstan. They are the largest ethnic group in Kazakhstan and also have significant communities in China (Xinjiang), Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Russia. They are an Indigenous people in the Kazakh people cluster of the Turkic Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Kazakh and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
