The North Nuaulu of Indonesia

The North Nuaulu of Indonesia, numbering approximately 750 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Alifuru highland people of Seram Island in Indonesia's Maluku Islands, named for the headwaters of the Nua River, forcibly relocated to the coast by Dutch colonial authorities after retaining headhunting customs into the 1940s. They mostly adhere to Sunni Islam and North Nuaulu is their primary language.
