The Mandailing of Indonesia, numbering approximately 1,295,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an ethnolinguistic community of Indonesia (Sumatra), north Sumatra and can also be known as Batak Mandailing. They are an Indigenous people, in the Batak-Nias of Sumatra people cluster of the Malay Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Batak Mandailing.
