The Surinamers of Suriname

The Surinamers of Suriname, numbering approximately 1,700 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Dutch-speaking Afro-Caribbean ethnic group of mixed African, European, and Asian ancestry whose identity is linked to the culture of Suriname and can also be known as Surinamese Dutch. They are an Indigenous people, in the Afro-Caribbean people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Dutch.
