The Malays of Comoros

The Malays of Comoros, numbering approximately 1,100 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a community descended from Malayo-Polynesian seafarers, recently traced to Borneo's Banjar people, who reached Comoros as early as the 5th or 6th century CE in the same wave that settled Madagascar, later mixing with Arab, Persian, and African populations. They mostly adhere to Sunni Islam and Malay (individual language) is their primary language.

Begin training up local leaders to lead and develop strategies to reach their own people

Pray specifically for the Malays of Comoros

And he said to them, "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many."
readMark 14:23-24

Pray for those who may have heard the gospel but have not yet submitted their lives to Christ, that they will finally see the sacrifice which He made for them and surrender their lives to Him.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns."
readIsaiah 52:7

Pray that those who don't know the good news of peace and salvation through Jesus Christ will have an opportunity to receive it. Pray that it will bring hope and healing to their souls.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
readMatthew 5:16

Pray that as people place their faith in Christ, they will be humble and give glory to God through their good deeds.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
readHebrews 4:12

Pray that God will make His living and active Word available to everyone in this people group so that many will respond to the gospel. Ask Him to provide Jesus-followers to walk with new believers as they grow in Him.
