The Rungwa of Tanzania, numbering approximately 54,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Bantu-speaking ethnic group of western Tanzania, closely associated with the Lake Rukwa basin and the Katavi–Rukwa region They are an Indigenous people, in the Bantu, Central-Tanzania people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Roman Catholicism. They primarily speak Rungwa.
