The Waata of Kenya, numbering approximately 22,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an Oromo-speaking Indigenous ethnic group in Kenya, historically known as hunter-gatherers and archers and can also be known as Sanye, Watha, Waat, Aryangulo, Waata Oromo. They are an Indigenous people, in the Khoisan people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Waata.
