They are an ethnic group indigenous to the Senegambia region and widely disbursed in Sahara, Sahel, and West Africa . They are an Indigenous people, in the Fulani / Fulbe people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Folk. They primarily speak Fulfulde, Central-Eastern Niger.
