The Ashanti of Ghana, numbering approximately 5,545,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as an ethnolinguistic subgroup of the Akan, one of the largest ethnic groups in West Africa, indigenous to the present-day countries of Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire They are an Indigenous people, with Asante Twi (Ashanti, Akan) as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Guinean people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. They mostly adhere to Ethnoreligion and Akan is their primary language.
