The Ashanti of Ghana, numbering approximately 5,515,000 people, are No Longer Unreached.
They are described as an ethnolinguistic subgroup of the Akan, one of the largest ethnic groups in West Africa, indigenous to the present-day countries of Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.
They are an Indigenous people in the Guinean people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc.
Akan is their primary language and Ethnoreligion is their primary religion.
