The Njeng of Cameroon, numbering approximately 30,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an Afro-Asiatic-speaking people, also called Nzanyi or Njanyi, settled along the Cameroon-Nigeria border near Mayo-Oulo and Mayo-Louti, within the historic reach of the Kotoko kingdom before it was absorbed into the Bornu Empire in the 19th century. They mostly adhere to Sunni Islam and Nzanyi is their primary language.
