The Njeng of Cameroon, numbering approximately 30,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as an Afro-Asiatic-speaking people, also called Nzanyi or Njanyi, settled along the Cameroon-Nigeria border near Mayo-Oulo and Mayo-Louti, within the historic reach of the Kotoko kingdom before it was absorbed into the Bornu Empire in the 19th century They are an Indigenous people, with Nzanyi as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. They mostly adhere to Sunni Islam and Nzanyi is their primary language.
