The Tunni of Somalia

The Tunni of Somalia, numbering approximately 57,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are one of the oldest Somali clans, part of the Digil-Rahanweyn branch, occupying the lower Shabelle valley since 2000 BCE and Jubba valley since 1000 BCE with the Garre, founding the Tunni Sultanate from Qoryooley before its conquest by the Garen Kingdom. They mostly adhere to Sunni Islam and Tunni is their primary language.

Pray specifically for the Tunni of Somalia

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.
readEphesians 2:4-5

Pray that those who have not yet received new life will be made alive together with Christ, saved by grace and raised up with Him to newness of life.

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
read2 Timothy 4:3-4

Pray that the lost will be open to the truth of the gospel and turn from false teachings and myths to the sound doctrine of Christ in faith.

Depart from me, all you workers of evil, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping.
readPsalm 6:8

Pray that as people place their faith in Christ, God will remind them that He is near and will help them place their hope in Him when others wish to do them harm.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
readRomans 1:16

Pray that God will raise up sons and daughters who, like Paul, will be bold to share the gospel across cultural barriers so that many might receive salvation.
