They are an indigenous people group of Chad, living in a small cluster of villages in the Tandjilé Region of southern Chad, specifically in the Kélo and Lai sub‑prefectures. They are an Indigenous people in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Kabalai and their primary religion is Folk Islam.
