The Gori of Chad

The Gori of Chad, numbering approximately 1,900 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethnic minority along Chad's Chari River in Moyen-Chari prefecture speaking the Laal language isolate, unclassified and unrelated to any known language family, with younger generations increasingly shifting to the more widespread Bagirmi tongue. They mostly adhere to Sunni Islam and Laal is their primary language.
