The Jama Mapun of Malaysia, numbering approximately 6,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a sub-ethnic group of the larger Bajau family of the Philippines, also known as Jama Mapun or Sama Kagayan and can also be known as Bajau, Sabah Coastal - Bajau. They are an Diaspora people, in the Filipino, Muslim people cluster of the Malay Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Mapun.
