The Saek of Laos

The Saek of Laos, numbering approximately 7,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a small Tai ethnic group of mainland Southeast Asia, living primarily along both sides of the Mekong River in central Laos and northeastern Thailand. They are also known as Xaek. They are an Indigenous people in the Tai people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Lao and their primary religion is Animism.
