The Bunan of China

The Bunan of China, numbering approximately 2,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a very small, Himalayan people living in far‑western Tibet near the China–India border. They are usually subsumed administratively under Tibetans, even though they speak a distinct Tibeto-Burman language and have their own local identity. They are an Indigenous people in the Tibetan people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Gahri and their primary religion is Tibetan Buddhism.
