The Eastern Tamang of Bhutan

The Eastern Tamang of Bhutan, numbering approximately 5,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Tibeto-Burmese ethnic group indigenous to Nepal, Southern Bhutan, and North India and can also be known as Nishung, Murmi, Lama, Tamanglama. They are an Diaspora people, in the South Himalayan people cluster of the Tibetan / Himalayan Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Buddhism - Tibetan. They primarily speak Tamang, Eastern.
