The Dagi of India

The Dagi of India, numbering approximately 3,100 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste community of the Lahaul valley in Himachal Pradesh, traditionally employed as musicians at festive occasions and in ironsmithy, blending Hindu and Buddhist beliefs with the worship of local spirits. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Pahari-Potwari is their primary language.
