The Bangti of India, numbering approximately 300 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are described as a Telugu-speaking fishing community of Odisha, concentrated in the Rayagada and Kalahandi regions. Their men traditionally fish in ponds and rivers while the women sell the catch in local markets They are an Indigenous people, with Bangti as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Odia is their primary language.
