The Brokpa of Bhutan

The Brokpa of Bhutan, numbering approximately 7,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a semi-nomadic yak-herding people of Merak and Sakteng in eastern Bhutan's Trashigang district, whose oral traditions trace their ancestry to Tibet's Tshona area and who are set apart from neighboring Sharchop by a distinct Tibetic language and dress. They mostly adhere to Folk Buddhism and Brokpake is their primary language.

Pray specifically for the Brokpa of Bhutan

And the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
readExodus 14:22

Pray that the God who split the sea so that the Israelites might pass through would do another great work among these people, softening the hearts of those who remain lost to the good news and saving them from their sins.

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
readJohn 8:12

Pray that many will come to know Jesus, the light of the world, and have the light of life instead of walking in darkness.

For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one.
readHebrews 10:34

Pray that as people place their faith in Christ, they will have compassion for those in prison, sympathize with those who are mistreated, and continue to do good and share the gospel with others.

And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
readRomans 10:15

Pray that God will call many believers who will obediently go and share the gospel with those who desperately need it.
