The Gitxsan of Canada

The Gitxsan of Canada, numbering approximately 8,600 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a matrilineal Skeena River people of northern British Columbia with roughly 10,000 years of presence in their territory, who blockaded the river during the 1872 Skeena Rebellion and later led the landmark 1997 Delgamuukw case recognizing Aboriginal title.
