The Umutina of Brazil, numbering approximately 425 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as an Indigenous people of the upper Paraguay region of Mato Grosso who identify as Balatiponé and maintain a distinct ethnic identity while working to revitalize cultural traditions and their ancestral Bororo-family language They are an Indigenous people, with Umutina as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. They mostly adhere to Ethnoreligion and Portuguese is their primary language.
