The Western Bru of Thailand, numbering approximately 17,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a Mon-Khmer-speaking people of Dong Luang district in Thailand's Mukdahan province, believed descended from populations of the Angkor-era Khmer kingdom They are an Indigenous people, with Bru as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. They mostly adhere to Animism and Western Bru is their primary language.
