The Kurmi of India

The Kurmi of India, numbering approximately 16,000,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a caste community of agriculturists found throughout northern India, particularly in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The Kurmi have multiple territorial endogamous divisions, mainly speaking Hindi and practicing Hinduism. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Hindi is their primary language.
