Sikhism is a part of Sikhism and the larger Sikhism religion. Sikhism is a monotheistic religion founded in the Punjab region of India in the 15th century as a reform movement out of Hinduism. Based on the teachings of Guru Nanak and his successors, Sikhs value truth as the highest ideal and pursue truthful living, rejecting the Indian caste system in favor of the equality of all humans.
