Islam - Shia (MSH)

Islam - Shia is a part of Shia Islam and the larger Islam religion. Shia and Sunni Muslims share many fundamental Islamic beliefs but differ over the question of leadership. Shia Muslims believe that following the Prophet Muhammad's death, leadership should have passed directly to his counsin/son-in-law, Ali bin Abu Talib. Throughout history, Shia Muslims have rejected the authority of elected Muslim leaders.
