The Kono of Guinea, numbering approximately 123,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are described as a community of subsistence farmers descended from Mali-Guinean migrants who settled in Guinea in the sixteenth century They are an Indigenous people, with Kono (Kpelle) as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Mande people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism. They primarily speak Kono (Guinea).
