The Nandiwala of India

The Nandiwala of India, numbering approximately 9,800 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a nomadic community of Maharashtra who migrated from Andhra Pradesh, performing acts with a trained sacred bull considered Lord Shiva's vehicle. Alms-seeking has given way to hunting, fishing, and unskilled labor. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Telugu is their primary language.

Continue prayer and fasting for this group
Continue gospel seed sowing and church planting among this group
Begin training up local leaders to lead and develop strategies to reach their own people

Pray that the Word of God will be increasingly available to these people in ways they will resonate with so that all may have a chance to respond to the good news of Jesus Christ.

For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: ‘To the unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you.

For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, “‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
