The Sinpho of India, numbering approximately 15,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Scheduled Tribe of Tirap district, Arunachal Pradesh, and Tinsukia district, Assam, of Mongoloid origin who migrated from Upper Burma around 1793. Settled and wet-rice cultivation remain their principal occupation They are an Indigenous people, with Singpho / Sinpho as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Theravada Buddhism. They primarily speak Singpho.
