The Bot of India, numbering approximately 2,700 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Hindu landholding agricultural community of Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh who trace their origin to a Rajput ruler of Batwal in Nepal. They speak Awadhi and especially worship Lord Ramchandra and Hanuman. They are an Indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Awadhi and their primary religion is Folk Hinduism.
