The Sansoi of India, numbering approximately 7,900 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh, along the Beas river, their name recalling their traditional occupation of gold-washing. Agriculture and animal husbandry have replaced this craft. They are an Indigenous people in the Punjabi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Kangri and their primary religion is Hinduism.
