The Noliya of India

The Noliya of India, numbering approximately 4,900 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Telugu fishing community also called Jalari who migrated to the Ganjam region of Odisha, their name recalling salt or salty water. Sea-fishing remains their main occupation. They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Telugu and their primary religion is Hinduism.
