The Moldovans of Italy

The Moldovans of Italy, numbering approximately 125,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an East Romance people of historical Moldavia/Bessarabia, speakers of Moldovan/Romanian, predominantly Eastern Orthodox, with agrarian and wine-growing traditions and a national identity contested between Romanian and Soviet-era Moldovan identities. They are an Diaspora people in the Romanian people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Romanian and their primary religion is Eastern Orthodox Christianity.
