The Azoyu Tlapanec of Mexico, numbering approximately 850 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a Me'phaa people of Guerrero's Costa Chica region who settled alongside the Mixtec by the 11th century, descendants of the Yopitzinco polity that remained an independent enclave never conquered by the Aztec empire, now speaking an endangered Azoyu dialect They are an Indigenous people, with Tlapanec as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Central American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Spanish.
