The Woodland Cree of Canada

The Woodland Cree of Canada, numbering approximately 69,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a major subgroup of the Cree Nation, one of the largest Indigenous groups in Canada. They traditionally inhabited the forested regions of northern Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, west of Hudson Bay and north to Churchill. They are also known as Sakāwithiniwak, Nîhithaw. They are an Indigenous people in the North American Indigenous people cluster of the North American Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is English and their primary religion is Protestantism.
