The Paky of India

The Paky of India, numbering approximately 23,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Scheduled Caste of Vishakhapatnam, Srikakulam, and other districts in Andhra Pradesh, their name recalling the bird. Traditionally town and city scavengers, today sweeping and farm labor are their main occupations They are an Indigenous people, with Paky, Thoti as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Gond people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. They mostly adhere to Folk Hinduism and Telugu is their primary language.
