The Vaiphui of India, numbering approximately 57,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a Scheduled Tribe of southern Manipur, also called Kuki by the neighboring Meitei, tracing origin to the Chin Hills' Tan valley. Cultivation remains primary, and most have embraced Christianity They are an Indigenous people, with Vaiphei as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Kuki-Chin (Zo) people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism. They primarily speak Vaiphei.
