The Sauntia of India, numbering approximately 56,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Ganjam district, Odisha, their name recalling the gathering of scattered things, traditionally agricultural laborers and firewood sellers. Agriculture and wage labor remain their main occupations today. They are an Indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Chhattisgarhi and their primary religion is Ethnoreligion.
