The Ghanchi of India

The Ghanchi of India, numbering approximately 130,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a Muslim trading community of Rajasthan and Gujarat whose name derives from ganchi, a traditional oil-pressing device, historically engaged in pressing and selling oil alongside cultivation and wage labor They are an Indigenous people, with Ghanchi as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Teli people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Gujarati.
