They are described as a community of India, the Thori are concentrated in Devgarh village and in the Narsingarh tehsil of Rajgarh district in Madhya Pradesh They are an Indigenous people, with Thori as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Rajasthani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism. They primarily speak Marwari (India).
