The Chhipa of India

The Chhipa of India, numbering approximately 514,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a traditional cloth-dyeing and printing community of Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, comprising Hindu, Jain, and Muslim segments. Their name derives from the bhav, or confidence, their ancestors placed in the goddess Hinglaj. They are an Indigenous people in the Punjabi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Hindi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
