The Bairwa of India

The Bairwa of India, numbering approximately 1,380,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Rajasthani-origin community of Delhi with clan-based social organization, traditionally engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. They trace their name to Birawal, a Bal Rajput ancestor, and many now work in government and private service. They are an Indigenous people in the Rajasthani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Marwari (India) and their primary religion is Folk Hinduism.
