The Tejalapan Zapotec of Mexico, numbering approximately 5,300 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an ethnolinguisic subgroup of the Zapotec, an ethnic group indigenous to the state of Oaxaca, Mexico and can also be known as Zapoteco de San Felipe Tejalapan, Teotitlan del Valle, Zapoteco de San Felipe Tejalapan; Zapoteco de Tejalápam, Zapoteco de San Felipe Tejalapan, Zapotec, Zapoteco de San Felipe Tejalapan, Zapoteco de Tejalápam, Zapoteco de Tejalápam, Zapoteco de San Felipe Tejalápam, Zapoteco de Tejalapam. They are an Indigenous people, in the Zapotec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Spanish.
