They are described as a Bantu ethnic group in southwestern Uganda, primarily located in the Kisoro District near the borders of Rwanda and DR Congo They are an Indigenous people, with Fumbira as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Pygmy people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Anglicanism. They primarily speak Kinyarwanda.
