The Tatar of Tajikistan

The Tatar of Tajikistan, numbering approximately 7,100 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Turkic ethnic group indigenous to the Tatarstan region of Russia and Ukraine. They are also known as Tatarlar, Татарлар. They are an Diaspora people in the Ural-Siberian people cluster of the Turkic Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Tatar and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
