The Tatars of Kyrgyzstan

The Tatars of Kyrgyzstan, numbering approximately 7,900 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Turkic Muslim diaspora community descended mainly from migrants from Russia's Volga-Ural region; they preserve elements of Tatar language and culture while participating in the diverse societies of Central Asia. They mostly adhere to Sunni Islam and Tatar is their primary language.
